I am so stunned that I can hardly gather comprehensible sentences to form a paragraph. But there's sheltered, homeschooled little me--never even dreaming of the evil in this world. I am SO thankful for the protection my parent has granted and the teaching that has enabled me to see through this kind charade of "progressive thinking". We have recently been studying the Commandments in Catechism class and it just burns me to read his contempt of God's law, specifically the tenth: you shall not covet. Wrapped up in that little phrase is such a deep spiritual meaning. You remember Jenna, the difference between this commandment and the others is that while the others begin on the tangible, and active form and then go deeper, Covet starts in the heart and spreads out to cover the entire ten.
This guy has faith in humankind. I'm reminded of the very last line of The Diary of Ann Frank where (as she's being taken off to a concentration camp) she says she believes that all people are basically good. She got killed by those basically good people. People are basically bad. It's called original sin. His eyes aren't opened. He's blind but still blamable. That 'artwork' was also a good reminder that people are watching us(Christians)!

People are basically bad. It's called original sin.
